AdBlue safe removable transfer equipment:

The new transfer system is designed so that it can be removed from one IBC tank and easily moved to another, and uses the INOX rotary hand pump, certified for AdBlue transfer.

What is AdBlue?

AdBlue is the registered trademark of the product urea AUS32 (32.5% urea solution), used to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions caused by diesel engine exhaust, through a process called selective catalytic reduction (SCR).

As the name AUS32 itself suggests, the product is a solution of high purity urea in demineralized water. It is clear, non-toxic and safe to handle. It may, however, be corrosive to some metals, and appropriate materials should be used for transport and storage. AdBlue is a registered trademark of the German Association of the Automotive Industry,1 who guarantee compliance with the quality standards according to the specifications of ISO 22241.

 

AdBlue is used by vehicles equipped with RCA technology.

In which the product is stored in a dedicated tank. AdBlue consumption is equivalent to 3-5% of fuel consumption. This low dosing allows refueling to be spaced out and minimizes the impact of an additional tank on the chassis. RCA systems are currently in use in Europe, Japan, Australia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Mexico, New Zealand and Singapore.

Legislation in 2010 by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will limit NOX emissions to levels that will make SCR technology necessary for trucks in North America. The generic name given to the AUS32 product in North America is DEF (diesel exhaust fluid). Some equipment suppliers to the transportation industry have developed proprietary brands of SCR systems, such as Daimler’s BlueTec.
