Today March 21 is celebrated the International Day of Forests. On this day we try to make society aware that forests are the main source of water and oxygen for the planet, our green lung.
Thanks to their regulation of oxygen, carbon dioxide and atmospheric humidity, we can adapt to climate change. Despite these benefits, the continuous deforestation is producing the opposite as it is the greenhouse effect and the global warming.
“As the deliberations on the development agenda are being pursued after 2015, we recognize the vital role of forests and pledge to collaborate in the protection and sustainable management of these vital ecosystems.”
